As a result of experience, trainings, and research, Kendra has developed an awareness practice based program to assist couples in their process of developing a more harmonious relationship.
Connecting Communication for Couples (CCC) integrates the importance of awareness of both self and others. How could one expect their partner to know them if they do not even know themselves?
In the form of a worksheet, couples follow the instructions step-by-step in order to learn more about themselves, each other, and their relationship. From there, they are able to integrate this into their lives and continue to develop increasing communication skills and connection. Among developing inner and relational awareness, couples also become aware that adults have attachment needs: It’s okay to need to feel held, secure, and loved. Adults also need to be validated. We need to hear those words of understanding and acceptance, to know we’re not alone, & to know that our partner will hold us if we ask them to.
